How to Use SimLab

Published

SimLab allows you to practice cybersecurity scenarios through interactive simulations. You are presented with a situation, choose how to respond, and receive feedback based on your decision.

Getting Started

To begin using SimLab, navigate to the SimLab section from the main dashboard and select a simulation.

  • Browse simulations by category or difficulty
  • Click View to open a scenario
  • Read the situation carefully
  • Select an action
  • Review the outcome and explanation

Making Decisions

Each simulation presents a set of possible actions. Choose the option that best reflects how you would respond in a real situation.

  • Consider potential risks before selecting an option
  • Avoid rushing through decisions
  • Focus on reasoning, not guessing

Reviewing Results

After making a selection, SimLab provides feedback explaining the recommended action and why it is the safest choice. Use this feedback to understand both correct and incorrect decisions.

Saving Simulations

You can bookmark simulations to revisit later. Saved simulations are available in your Saved section under Settings.

Tips for Best Results

  • Treat each scenario as if it were real
  • Take time to read all details carefully
  • Learn from explanations, even when you choose correctly
  • Revisit saved simulations to reinforce learning

SimLab is designed to help you build practical awareness and improve your ability to respond to real-world cybersecurity situations through repeated practice.
