What Is CertLab?
- Published
CertLab is HuntCode's certification system designed to validate practical cybersecurity skills through structured assessments and completion requirements. CertLab focuses on demonstrating real understanding rather than memorization or one-time testing.
How CertLab Works
Certifications in CertLab are earned by completing required modules, assessments, and learning milestones. Progress is tracked automatically as you move through lessons and evaluations.
- Completion of required modules and lessons
- Passing module-level assessments
- Meeting minimum score thresholds
- Maintaining eligibility across all required components
Types of Certifications
CertLab supports two types of certifications, each representing a different level of achievement and validation.
- Certificate of Completion is awarded after completing all required modules and passing all associated quizzes with a score of 70% or higher. Quizzes are untimed and are designed to reinforce learning at the lesson level.
- Certificate of Proficiency is awarded after successfully passing all required module assessments with a score of 70% or higher. Assessments are timed and must be completed within the defined time limit.
Module assessments are designed to measure applied understanding under time constraints. Each assessment allows approximately 40 minutes total, or about 2 minutes per question, to complete all questions.
What CertLab Represents
CertLab certifications represent applied skill readiness. They are designed to reflect real-world cybersecurity workflows, helping learners demonstrate competence to instructors, institutions, and employers.
CertLab continues to evolve as HuntCode expands assessment types, verification methods, and institutional reporting features.
